EEMS which is a monthly experimental music series taking place on the 3rd Sunday of the month, selecting from some of the finest talents in Chicago. Rather than have bands or solo acts that preform regularly, the performers have been asked to play new or different material than they would normal play out. Also, no live drums.

Please Join us June 10, from 5-9pm at Maria's for the release of two magazines!!! Lumpen Issue #120 and Issue #1 of Cholo Magazine. Cholo ( as in "buddy") is a new magazine dedicated to people we think you should hang out with. Or at least get to know what they are up to…​

The mags also includes rad comics and the program for Version Festival 13, our annual freak out festival that takes place mostly in Bridgeport. It starts June 14!

We are celebrating with some good old fashioned Korean Polish BBQ and some nice brews. Plus some great Geighties music Spotified by Edmar.
Stop by, eat some complementary Korean Polish, meet some of the featured Cholos, grab a beer, and take a stack of magazines back to your neighborhood. We really need you to help distribute the magazines because we are too lazy to leave 31st and Morgan Street.
